Micro irrigation is a method of providing water directly to the root zone of plants, minimizing water loss and improving efficiency. It involves using low-flow irrigation systems that deliver water in small, precise quantities. Micro irrigation typically includes Drip Irrigation and Micro-Sprinkler Irrigation.
For a system to irrigate satisfactorily the application of water must be uniform. There should be no more than a 10 percent variation in discharge between the emitters with the lowest and highest output. To achieve this, pipes and tubing must be sized correctly.
